6-9-17 – Intraday Update

Because I’m currently in Australia, the US trading hours are quite off for me and I won’t be awake before market close. I was filled today in SOXS (Inverse US Semi Conductors) @ $24.50 playing off the Keltner Top reversal I talk about in my Educational Series.

I am up intraday over $500 with my final target being $27.00 for the day. Since I’m already up close to my target amount I’m modifying my order to ensure profits are taken off today.

Sell 400 shares of SOXS (Inverse US Semi Conductors) Limit @ $27.00 for a 10.2% or ($1,020 Profit)
Sell 400 shares of SOXS (Inverse US Semi Conductors) Stop Limit @ $25.90 for a 5.71% or ($571 Profit)

Today’s Update

Market Snapshot 6-2-17

I’ve been doing more travel, just coming from Bangalore and now onto Sydney Australia, but keeping a close watch to any new moves in the markets and watching my active positions grow. No new buying opportunities yet as I was filled on both my SPXL (S&P 500) order and YINN (China) order.

However, my ERY (Inverse Energy Exploration Companies) did fill selling @ $13.50 for a 12.22% or ($1,002 Profitand it looks like it’s going even further with the big drops in Oil and Natural Gas recently.

Positions I’m Buying

Buy 375 SPXL (S&P 500) Limit @ $33.50

7 up days in a row is now screaming for a slight correction at a minimum. I suspect my $33.50 order will fill on Tuesday.

SPXL 5-30-17

Order Cancels Order
Buy 395 YINN (China) Limit @ $22.25  ($8,873 Position Size)
Buy 349 YINN (China) Stop @ $22.75 ($7,936 Position Size)

when filled

Sell YINN (China) Limit @ $27.00
Sell YINN (China) Stop Limit @ $18.45

YINN (China) has broken a key resistance level, is above all the 3 major moving averages and started with a nice opening gap higher. Keeping my  OCO (Order Cancels Order) to ensure I get a fill, but as you can see from Friday price movement stayed between both of my entry prices without filling.

Positions I’m Selling

Sell XIV (Inverse VIX) Limit @ $90.00 20.35% or ($2,293 Profit)
Sell XIV (Inverse VIX) Stop Limit @ $60.00 19.76% or ($2,227 Loss)

XIV continues higher and is about to test it’s previous high. Next week could see some resistance with the possible testimony from the ex FBI director. Politics can always be a source of volatility and XIV only profits when volatility stays low. So I may sell the day before the testimony day unless it’s blocked.

XIV 6-2-17

Sell PIN (India) Limit @ $27.00 17.44% or ($3,501 Profit)
Sell PIN (India) Stop Limit @ $21.50 6.48% or ($1,301 Loss)

PIN has almost recovered back to it’s previous high. This is my longer term play and I expect this trend to continue higher.

PIN 6-2-17

Sell EDC (Emerging Markets) Limit @ $88.00 8.82% or ($1,000 Profit)
Sell EDC (Emerging Markets) Stop Limit @ $70.00 13.44% or ($1,525 Loss)

After the 7 days higher, EDC did correct as expected and now we are extremely close to hitting my profit target. I could push this higher, but I’ve added two new positions, SPXL and YINN, so I’d like to take any profitable trades off the table to lock in some gains.

EDC 6-2-17

Sell JNUG (Junior Gold Miners) Limit @ $22.25 26.28% or ($1,490 Profit)
Sell JNUG (Junior Gold Miners) Stop Limit @ $13.00 26.22% or ($1,487 Loss)

JNUG is slowly recovering back into possible profitability. Hopefully my patience will pay off. I’ve allocated a wide stop to account for possible volatility but with the trend still being low, I have to admit I’m wrong on the recovery if it turns lower a second time.

This originally was an extreme PPO turnover trade which I discuss in my Educational Series. PPO still has stayed positive so I’m still holding for a bullish move higher.

JNUG 6-2-17

Sell YINN (China) Limit @ $27.00 18.68% or ($1,483 Profit)
Sell YINN (China) Stop Limit @ $18.45 18.90% or ($1,500 Loss)

Since YINN broke a new high, my higher price of $22.75 filled and now I’ve setup a rather equal profit and loss target assuming now that we’ve broken the key resistance level I will be right before I’m wrong.

YINN 6-2-17

Sell 375 SPXL (S&P 500) Limit @ $37.50 ($1,500 Profit)
Sell 375 SPXL (S&P 500) Stop Limit @ $29.50 ($1,500 Loss)

After the many days higher SPXL filled at my $33.50 price and now it’s breaking all time highs. Because markets have been rather choppy, I’ve created an equal profit and loss target assuming I’m at a clear advantage due to the trend higher and the fact we broke a key resistance level.

ETFs to Watch 5.21.17

A surprise volatility day last week followed my continued strong momentum across many markets. Some are very close to new trade setups, so now it’s a wait and see. Be careful as we could easily see a repeat of last Thursday. I will personally be holding for only the best setups which appear to be developing soon!
